  新中国站在每个人民的面前,我们应该迎接它。

  新中国航船的桅顶已经冒出地平线了,我们应该拍掌欢迎它。 举起你的双手吧,新中国是我们的。

You can also click the 'HanZi' button to return to the ideographic text, and switch back and forth. Some languages in the world are written in two scripts. Conversion between different scripts has been in existence for a long time. For instance, Serbo-Croatian is written in both Latin and Cyrillic alphabets. There is plenty of computer software for the conversion between them.

The Chinese language is also currently written in two scripts, that is, the traditional and simplified ideographs. With computer programming, either can be easily converted to the other. The following web page contains this function. The traditional script (繁体版) or simplified script (简体版) can be triggered by clicking the proper button at right upper-hand corner of the page.

Switch of Two Ideographic Chinese Scripts

Several years ago, there was a popular Chinese word processor, the NJstar, on which ideographs could be converted to standard PinYin. Conception of this design is similar to that of all these conversions.

The PinYin writing in preceding rectangle has another two unique features. Some of the spellings are not in standard PinYin. You can move the cursor to a spelling, but don't click it. If the spelling is not in standard PinYin, a tiny rectangle containing the standard one will appear. But if the spelling itself is in standard PinYin, no tiny rectangle will appear.

Secondly, clicking any spelling, standard PinYin or not, will open one of the vocabulary pages. The reader will be able to see spellings for all homophonous ideographs. They will have a chance to familiarize themselves with different word spellings of the PinYin writing. Note that you need to click the backward arrow at the upper left-hand corner of the browser to come back to this page from the vocabulary page.

A vocabulary is listed in my web site, which expands the standard PinYin system. Many non-standard spellings are added. Furthermore, some spellings represent sounds that have no written forms in the ideographic script to the system. It is very difficult, if ever possible, for people to memorize these spellings by just looking the long list of vocabulary, which will be the most suffering experience for any human being. This software for conversion can help people remember the PinYin words, thus expedite transition from ideographic script to an alphabetic one.

Up to this date there are billions of billions of web pages in Chinese ideographic script on the Internet. To advance the romanization, it is necessary to convert text on these pages to alphabetic writing. This will give the reader an opportunity of reading old articles in the alphabetic writing. It will be just a matter of clicking a button to convert any web page in ideographic writing to its alphabetic counterpart.
